You may request a return within 7 days of confirmed delivery for items that are: • Significantly different from the product description or photos • Damaged or defective on arrival • The wrong item sent (incorrect size, colour, or product) • Missing components included in the listing Items must be returned in their original condition, unworn, and with all original packaging and tags attached.
The following items are not eligible for return: • Custom-made or personalised/monogrammed items (unless defective) • Items that have been worn, washed, or altered • Items returned more than 7 days after delivery confirmation • Items without original tags or packaging • Sale or clearance items marked as final sale • Perishable or hygienic accessories If you are unsure whether your item qualifies, contact us before initiating a return.
To start a return: 1. Email hello@shopafricanattire.com within 7 days of delivery 2. Include your order number, the item(s) you wish to return, and a clear reason 3. Attach photos showing the issue (required for damaged/defective/incorrect items) 4. Our team will review and respond within 2 business days 5. If approved, you will receive return instructions by email Do not ship items back without first receiving a return approval from our team — unapproved returns cannot be processed.
Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you by email of the refund decision. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days back to your original payment method: • Paystack card payments: 5–7 business days • Bank transfer payments: 7–10 business days Refund amounts will be the original product price minus any non-refundable delivery fees, unless the return is due to our error or a defective item.
We do not currently offer direct product exchanges. If you would like a different size or colour, please: 1. Return the original item following the standard return process 2.
